6 ways to Create an Outstanding Social Media Marketing Strategy

social media marketing strategy

It cannot be denied that in the world today with the level of technology flying around, social media just seems to dominate. Anywhere you go, you will find social media and almost everyone uses it whether young or old.

That’s why a lot of companies and businesses are all over social media trying to garner the attention of people. This might then make it difficult for companies or businesses that are not adapted for social media to thrive.

Almost all companies are getting on with the excitement and opportunities social media holds all trying to maximize it for their benefit. So the competition looks tough and the stakes are high. However, the social media is large enough for everyone to get their share of customers once you have equipped yourself with the right kind of information because that is what seems to make the world go round these days.

So what then can a company do to make themselves stand out among the crowd of other companies on social media? Well let’s take a look at the utilization of some of the social media tools:

1. Twitter.

Twitter is quite popular as almost everyone is there ranging from politicians to celebrities to business gurus all trying to garner people’s attentions. The tricky thing about Twitter is that there is a limitation of characters and you have to be fast about it.

You also need to respond to your followers anytime they post a comment and there’s also a need to show appreciation whenever you or your company gets mentioned in order to keep pace with other competitors.

Try as much as possible to respond to questions quickly or you might lose customers and followers. So watch out. Also, keep your posts short and simple with some symbols to make it fun to read.

2. Facebook.

Facebook recently changed up their algorithms, meaning less exposure for brands. So if you want to use Facebook to garner attention for your brand, then you need to make use of simple and short posts.

Also, ask questions in order to start a discussion or interaction rather than just provide the information straight away. You can also try out Facebook ads, too.

3. Images.

This is also important and as much as you can, make use of images. Just make sure it catches attention and it sends a message such that once people come across it, they have no choice but to stop and click on it. Images also help with SEO optimization, especially videos.

4. Content.

Content reigns supreme. This is because once your image has gotten their attention, the next thing on the mind of the viewer is the content and if the introduction is good enough, they will have no choice but to read through the whole content.

So you need to bear in mind who your target audience is and provide content that will resonate with them and consequently grow your business.

5. Build a community.

Don't just look for followers but try to build a base, have some form of relationship with your clients. It’s not called the social media for nothing; relate with your followers on a personal level, let them feel some real connection with you.

Be in constant communication with them and respond to their posts. Ask them to do the same for you and before you know it, you will have carved out a niche for yourself.

6. Campaigns.

To keep your audience engaged, you need to be engaging as well. One major way to do that is run cross-channel campaigns on all the social platforms that you are operating on. Since a lot of people will also be doing this, you need to make yours unique, inspirational and provoking (in the positive sense of it).

Say you are involved in some sort of charitable work, then use that campaign to let people know. So here is how to go about it: 1. Keep your story powerful while at the same time using short quotes if need be, and then provide a link back to your website so they can find out more. 2. Brand your campaign with a unique name and hashtags to make it memorable and stand out from the rest.

These are just a few ways to make your social media marketing stand out. Good luck!
